Engine Analysis

Computerized Engine Analysis Includes 
  1. Check primary ignition signal.
    • Ignition module signal.
    • Computer signals.
  2. Check secondary ignition output.
    • Plug wires.
    • Distributor and Cap.
    • Rotor.
    • Spark plugs.
  3. Perform power balance test.
  4. Check alternator output levels.
  5. Check starter draw.
  6. Check and adjust ignition timing, as required.
  7. Check and adjust curb idle speed, as required.
  8. Test and analyze exhaust emissions.
  9. Compile written results of test performed with recommendations and cost of repairs.
Advanced Analysis Also Includes
  1. Pull trouble codes from computer system.
  2. Compile written results of test performed with recommendations and cost of repairs.
  3. Perform computer interface using advanced technologies and equipment, checking the following:
    • Test all power and ground connections.
    • Test resistance of all wires in wiring harness, perform voltage drop test and record results.
    • Test all actuators and solenoids and record results.
    • Test resistance of all fuel injectors and record results.
    • Analyze results and compare with the manufacturer’s specifications.
